Setting LineupsBallStat

Lineups are used in BallStat to allow you to track each players stats according to where the player batted in the lineup. It will also allow you to see how well a team performs using different lineups. If you choose not to use lineups for games you will lose the previous abilities.

The easiest way to track lineups is to use the first 3 letters in each players last name as the title. Check the box Use players name in description and the title will be built for you automatically. This makes it easy to look at a lineup and see if you need to create a new lineup or if the lineup has already been used before.
If during the process of creating a lineup you discover that a player in the lineup was never added to the roster, click the Add player button to add the player to the roster.

To set a lineup:

1. Press the buttons 1 - 16   for the spot in the lineup you wish to set.

2. Highlight the player and position for the selected spot and press ACCEPT.

3. When all positions are filled press GAME SETUP. You will be given the option of saving the  lineup to disk. You must save a lineup to disk in order to use a new batting order. To select a lineup that was previously saved, go to the Setup screen and select it from the drop down list box for lineups.

Use the LOAD button to fill the lineup with a previously saved lineup. You can then make the changes you like or use the lineup as is. If you make changes to a lineup that you loaded, you will have to also change the title as you cannot save two lineups with the same title. You can save as many lineups as you like, there is no limit. The CANCEL button will abort the lineup procedure.
Uncheck the Use duplicates warning box if you don't want to be warned about duplicate players and positions. You can sort the players list by name or bat by checking or un-checking the Sort box by name button box.

To see a players current season totals double-click on the players name in the list box.
