Setting the DefenseBallScore

To make defensive changes for the team in the field select Lineup/Change defense from the main menu or press D on the keyboard.

The Current Defense dialog allows you to set defensive positions for each batter in a game. If you used Setup to begin a game then the entire scoresheet will be set with the starting defenses. If the Home team is batting then the visiting teams defense can be set and vice versa. This minimizes switching back and forth between teams.

To select a position to change press Alt+ the position. For example, Alt+1 will move you to the center field position, Alt+3 to 3rd base, etc.

Simply select a player by dropping down the list for the position you wish to set. Click Ok when all positions are correct. If you are not using a mouse then use the standard Windows key combo to drop down each box (Alt+DownArrow).

If the cursor is on the current batter when you set the defense then make sure the Fill to end of scoresheet box is checked. This will make changes effective from the cursor to the end of the scoresheet. This is normally what you would want, but not always.

If the Fill to end of scoresheet box is left un-checked then changes will only be effective for the current cell. Be careful if setting a defense for a previously scored cell as checking this box will overwrite all cells from the cursor to the end of the scoresheet.
