Earned/Unearned RunsBallScore

BallScore has limited capabilities for determining if a run if unearned. However, you can easily mark a cell as containing an unearned run or a potential unearned run.

To mark a cell as unearned:

1. Place the cursor on the cell to mark as unearned.
2. Press M then U on the keyboard.
3. Return the cursor to the current batter.

A cross hair will appear in the cell denoting that it contains an unearned run.

To return the cell as earned again follow the same procedure. You can mark a cell as unearned before the run actually scores ( if it does score at all ) by using the same procedure above. In this case a colored triangle will appear in the upper left corner of the cell. If the runner eventually scores the cross hair will appear automatically. If the runner never scores then this marker will be ignored.

BallScore will only detect 3 situations regarding unearned runs and will mark the cell when any of the situations occur.

1. A batter reaches base on an error ( the cell will be marked as potentially unearned ).
2. A runner scores because of an error ( the cell will be marked as unearned ).
3. A runner scores on a passed ball ( the cell will be marked as unearned ).
