Creating a Web Site

Creating a complete web site is easy with BallStat. Create all the reports that you would like to display on your web site then follow the steps below. Note that you don't have to create the web page for each report now as they will all be created at the same time.

Setting your properties ( you only have to set your properties once):

1. Select File/BallStat properties from the main menu then click the HTML tab.
2. Enter the path for your contents page. This is the page that will list all the links to your other reports. For now this page will reside on your hard drive (Example: c:/bsw90/web/contents.htm ).
3. Select the server directory where your files will be uploaded to. ( Example: http://ballstat.com/stats/ ). This information is needed to create all the links. ( NOTE: If you upload all your files to the same directory on your server you may be able to leave this field blank)
4. Check the Use HTML Suite settings for all web reports box.
5. Click the HTML Suite properties button.
6. Select the scheme you want then click OK.

The HTML Queue

1. Select File/HTML queue from the main menu.
2. Add all your reports in the order you want them to appear on the contents page.
3. When all your reports have been added click the Run queue button.

Note: if you have never assigned a file name to each web report or did not choose to have BallStat automatically assign them for you then you will be prompted for a file name for each report when running the queue. Assign a file name then click OK to go to the next report.

All reports created will contain the most recent data in your database. Each time a new game is entered or imported you will only need to run the queue then upload your web pages again. Remember that it is a good idea to keep all your web pages and your contents page in the same folder. This way you can simply upload the whole folder to your web site.

Toolbar buttons are provided for running the queue, viewing the contents page and editing/selecting schemes.
