Setting up your league in BallStatBallStat

BallStat now includes a Wizard to help setup your new league. The Wizard will ask you for some basic information about your league then create all the files for you. Users who have used the manual method below can continue to use that method if they like. Select File/Create new league from the main menu then click Yes to use the Wizard.

The first thing you have to do to get started with BallStat is to set up your league. Follow the steps below and you'll be ready in a few minutes.

1. Select File/Create new league from the main menu.
2. Enter the name for your league.
3. If your league will contain more than one division then enter the division names.
4. Select the normal game length for games in your league.
5. Click Save.
6. Browse to the folder that you want to store your league in. BallStat comes with 4 folders that you can use (League Folder #1, etc) or select your own. Do not store more than one league in a folder.
7. Enter a filename for your league making sure it ends with the .lge extension.
8. Click Save.

You will be asked to shut down BallStat. Quit the program (it may start again automatically if reboot is enabled) and your league will open automatically the next time you start BallStat.

You will have to score your first game with BallScore before you can compile stats and create reports with BallStat. Your teams and players will be added when you import your first game from BallScore.
